| OK but Step Down from Palms Treo Cradle | |||||

| I just received this cradle and basically it made me truly appreciate my Treo cradle. The Treo Cradle had a hady space behind the Treo that pivots forward to reveal the xtra battery charging compartment. With this cradle, the battery sits in the open and because it is placed horizontally, it means the base is larger than Palms Treo Cradle. Also, the battery is not the easiest to get out of the charger. I dont get why theyleft off the hot-sync button. I often sync my Centro before I leave the office and instead of pushing one button, I know have to fish through the several screens on the Centro or on the desktop. This cradle does not seem to have a base that was as weighted as the Palms. This is more of an issue because at least with a new Centro, the connection is so tight it is almost impossible to get the phone out of the cradle with one hand, so you need to use two hands or the whole thing will likely come up with the phone. One of the key benefits of a well-made cradle is to allow the easy connect and disconnect of the phone. The sync cable that came with the Centro seems to attach securely yet come out easier. Speaking of cables, the Celet did not have a USB cable in the box although one was indicated. I am assuming they just left mine out accidentally. I dont mean to trash talk this cradle. It does work and does what it says it does. I just wanted former Treo users to be aware of the difference. Of course, some of these may change as the cradle ages. Good luck | |||||

| Battery doesnt fully charge in rear slot | |
| User: J D, May 11, 2008 | |
| Not sure if I got a defective one or not but when charging a separate battery in the rear slot, it never gets a full charge. Ive tried several batteries and even after leaving on charger for 24 hours, they charge anywhere from 80 to 95 (charger is plugged into wall socket.) These same batteries reach a 99 to 100 charge when they are installed in the phone and the regular charging cable is used. If I had known this prior to purchase, I would not have bought it. | |
