| I was an early adopter of the original bluetooth Jawbone and love it. Naturally I ordered the new, improved version as soon as it came out. To my dismay, I just could not get it to fit snugly against my face the way it is supposed to fit. Although several different earpieces and earhole pieces are supplied, none of them could adjust the fit sufficiently to keep the little sensor nub touching my face. I even tried fitting an earpiece from my old Jawbone, but while it was better it still didnt provide a consistent fit. The sensor nub is the key to the unbeatable noise cancelling, because it senses your voice and the Jawbone processor matches that vs. everything else the mike picks up, and subtracts the everything else. If the sensor nub isnt touching your face, the Jawbone doesnt know what to cancel, and the result is a garbled transmission. I gave the new model to my girlfriend (she loves it, and it fits her smaller ear and face perfectly) and went back to the original. Jawbone should reconsider closing out the old model. |
