Product Description

The Seidio InnoDock Cradle is one of the most innovative sync and charge cradles available for the Centro, Treo 700p, Treo 700wx, Treo 700w, Treo 680, or Treo 650. Its trendy design is highly functional, allowing you to dock a Treo while in a case (compatible with most cases that have an open connector bottom and face out screen).

The cradle is powered by your computer's USB port, so no extra wall charger is necessary. If you want to use the cradle away from a computer (say on a nightstand), simply connect the bundled USB Cable to a S&C Wall Adapter (not included).

Features include:
  • Uniquely designed cradle allows a Centro, Treo 700p, Treo 700wx, Treo 700w, Treo 680, or Treo 650 fit with most cases
  • Integrated sync button - synchronizing with a touch of the hot sync button.
  • Centro, Treo 700p, Treo 700wx, Treo 700w, Treo 680, or Treo 650 built-in microphone can be enabled for hands free operation.
  • USB Sync and charge: Sync and charge via USB port from any laptop or desktop.

StarStarStarStarStar Works - after fixing...
User: Ove Eldoy, Oct 27, 2008
Pros: It has a sync button
Cons: Both hands needed to dock and undock
Mine did not work right out of the box. It connected badly, and since the plug is not fixed in one position, when I moved it, the contact with the PC would come and go (giving me USB error messages on the PC). (Since Im in Europe and bought it from the US, paying customs, etc. I didnt want to send it back.) So, I opened it and re-soldered the wires on the small plug-print inside. It was not properly done from the factory... To open it I had to remove the "rubber" feet (cause they cover the screws), and I had to go to a hardware store to buy some new ones after putting it back together... After the fix, it now works 100 and it does have a sync button, which I like.

StarStarStarStarStar Not worth the cost
User: J Mershon, Oct 24, 2008
Pros: Good idea
Cons: Bad execution
I was returning to Palm for the first time since my IIIxe days. One thing I remembered fondly was it was so easy to slide the palm onto the cradle, push a button and things would charge, sync, etc with no more attention from me. Since the Centro did not come with this wonderful cradle. I set out in search of one that would do the job.

This works - but not as easily as what I had before. It requires two hands to get the Centro firmly seated. About half the time I accidentally turn on the "voice dialing" in the process. After it gets seated right, the button is awkward to push...after less than 6 months, I am using a pen and two hands because it does not respond to just regular pushing.

Add to this the well documented issue of the headset jack getting messed up...now every time I use this cradle I am also doing damage to the jack, and increasing the likelihood of having to replace the phone yet again.

As much as I love the idea of a sync cradle - this is not working.

StarStarStarStarStar Tries to be fancy, ends up being crappy
User: Brandon Long, Feb 28, 2008
Instead of just being a plain cradle that "holds" the entire bottom of the Centro (like say the original Palm cradles), this one attempts to be "fancy" by having the phone sit straight-up on a hinged connector. My original goal for the cradle was a quick and easy way to plug my phone in to recharge at night, especially since I usually come to bed after my wife and the room is dark. Instead, the hinged connector makes it nearly impossible to place the Centro in the cradle, since its pointing upright but easily moves out of your way. And as further evidence of its craptastic nature, one of the ends broke off in my phone after a week of use.

Avoid unless you desire style over substance.
